APITHERAPY, or “bee therapy” (from the Latin apis which means bee) is the medicinal use of products made by honeybees. Apitherapy includes not only bee venom therapy (known as Bee Venom Therapy, also known as Bee Sting Therapy), but also the use of all the products of the hive, often in combination. These products are also sometimes mixed with other ingredients, such as essential oils, depending on the conditions being treated.
Products of the Honeybee include bee venom, honey, pollen, royal jelly, propolis, bee bread, and beeswax.
Some of the conditions for which Apitherapy is used (not in any special order) are: multiple sclerosis, arthritis, wounds, pain, scars, gout, shingles, burns, tendonitis, and infections.
